Admissions news at HSE University

The HSE Centre for International Preparatory Programmes is launching an intensive online course of Russian as a Foreign Language. The course will start on October 1, 2020 and will be part of a blended preparatory programme that aims to help international students gain proficiency in Russian so that they can enrol in Russian-taught undergraduate and graduate programmes. Registration for the course is already open.

In the event of unfavorable conditions or border closures due to the pandemic, HSE University will be organizing online learning with mandatory support from professors for newly enrolled international students. To do this, the University has all the required infrastructure.

International prospective students applying for Master's programmes at HSE University can now get a jump start on the admissions process and get a sense of their chances of being accepted to HSE. There is no need to wait till summer or to come to Moscow.

In 2020, HSE University - St. Petersburg will introduce a new English-taught master's programme in International Business. In 2020, HSE - St. Petersburg is launching a new master's programme in ‘Global and Regional History’, which will replace the ‘Applied and Interdisciplinary History’ Programme. The first admissions period for HSE’s doctoral programmes continues. The PhD programme in Economics is one of the programmes still accepting applications. Doctoral candidates of the programme have the opportunity to defend their dissertations before the specialized dissertation council and receive a PhD from HSE University.

Set to launch in the fall of 2020, HSE’s new English-taught master’s programme ‘Economics, Politics, and Business in Asia’ is now accepting applications. Students of the programme will spend their first and fourth semesters at HSE University in Moscow and their second and third semesters at Kyung Hee University in South Korea.
